Happy Diwali

My prayers have been answered . I have reached Chennai and its freaking sunny today .And the diwali vacation has started with a bang. I went for shopping with my friends .We guys finished shopping in matters of few minutes . But these girls ....my god. They looked around for few hours and decided not to buy anything. athukku we could have atleast saved some time .

we then went to a local fast food and hogged like crazy . Man ..I am in paradise :-)

Neways..I will be busy in the coming week , porrikifying with my friends . so advanced wishes for diwali .Have fun .

Rain rain go away

I love when it is raining .I have walked 9 kms in rain (senthil ...I know you wont forget that day ;-) ) .And I freakin enjoy getting drenched in rain and following it up with ice cream .But now I want the rain to stop . More rain , no train ..and its a big pain ..eppadi namma rhyming statement ?

I just want to go to chennai and spend the diwali hols there for the following reasons (exactly in order of importance/priority ) :
#1) Shivani will leave for Delhi next weekend and I dont know how long I have to wait to meet her again. See her photo and then you will realise why I am addicted to my digi camera nowadays :-) .
#2) I will get to meet my friends who will be in town for the hols .
#3) Of course , I got to meet the cute thing ;-) .

So guys ..do pray that the rain stops .

Code of language

If you can say "un munji le yen pichaang kai vekka" , "vootule sollitu vandutiya" , "kamosh ..mein tere khoon phee jhavunga" , then you have got good chances of becoming a member of Dalda Dappa rowdy gang . But we need to spread Dalda dappa to people who dont know tamil or hindi and we cant let language be an obstruction to our fame. So I think we should communicate in a common language . Since all of us have studied ( ???) in english medium schools , we can take up english as the official language. But we need to speak porrikki english . The "wanna gonna " style of english is too westernized and we need something more Indian ( patriotism ? ) .So I have decided to introduce the "IS THE " language to the DALDA DAPPDAs . I learnt it from a friend who porrikified in Hindustan college of engineering . This itself is the proof of the usefullness/greatness of the "IS THE" language .

Now to the language - Please forget your "gramar and speling " for the time being . Suppose you ask your friend how he did his exams and he replies saying " that is the gone " , he is trying to tell you that he will flunk in that exam. Please note the usage of "is the " in the sentence . This is very important because we will be using this in all the statements .

Now example no.2 - Now if your friend says "you is the gone" , then this can be interpreted in many ways depending on the context and the tone usage . If your friend in angry and says this , then he means "you get lost" .If he is more angry than previously assumed , then he is saying that you are finished . In such cases it is better you stay away from him .

Also note that when speaking in past tense , you cant say "was the" .You have to say "is the " irrespective of the the tense used . This language is bit complex but is very interesting ..especially if you want to confuse people .So guys practise hard :-)

One last message - I is the request all the members of Dalda Dappas or those is the want to be member to post one article on "is the" language .You is the practise to talk this language else you is the gone.

ayya - kannada film (trekking - 2 )

well .. I am really getting obessed about kannada now. I even manageed to watch a kannada movie :-) . We watched it this sunday while waiting for the train at birur.This happened right after the trek .

The previous evening , at the top of the hills , was a memorable day . In the evening , when the sun set , it was like the what we used to draw in LKG/UKG classes ..remember we used to draw the sun setting between 2 hills . It was the same beautiful sight. We tried chasing the sun down . We ran across the hills but couldnt really follow the sun . Then in the night I spend some time alone sitting alone at the edge of the hill. It was such a beautiful feeling ..the mist settling down .You experienced how it is when you are in midst of the clouds and the chill wind blowing ? It wasnt really misty or anything but it was a bit cold . Its really nice to spend some time with yourself in such an environment...with stars all around you and the moon shining down at you ..orey peelings machi.

Then Pradeep and Vijay told me about their previous trekking experience. These guys have really got me hooked now .We slept late and so I missed the sun rise .I really reget it .





Then we packed the tents and left for Santaveri .From there we caught a bus to Birur to catch the return train to Bangalore .It was then when I was made to watch the kannada movie "ayya" at a local theatre . It had dialogues similiar to tamil movie "madurai" (eg: nan convent school le padikalai , corporation school le padichain ) . In a song the movie , the heroine(namma rakshiita) was compared to tabla. Yeah..I wish I could have that song as ringtone of my cell . In other words , the movie was as bad as ...or rather as good as the tamil film "madurai" ...We were rolling on the floor laughing while the other locals were looking at us. Good that we had to catch a train and started off early ..else we could have been beaten up by the local fans.

Neways , am looking forward to watching more kannada movies ..especially upendra's .

Trekking - Day 1

For long I had wanted to bag pack and go to remote places ..far off from city pollution/noises .I wanted to go to places untouched by civilization ...in simple words " nature at its best ". And this weekend I experienced such a thing .I should start off with thanking note to Pradeep and his group of friends . These people let me join them for the trek to Kalhattigiri which is some 200 Km from bangalore.They really made me feel as if I was out with my school/college days friends .They made me realize my weakness ....yeah not knowing kannada is a big weakness when u are with 15 others who are screaming in kannada.I couldn't participate in all the fun talks due to this .Actually speaking , my silence must have made them think that I am a well-behaved chap.Dudes ..being a part of Dalda Dappas, the well-behaved title is more of an insult than a compliment to me.Let me tell you something - "Naanu kannada kalithu kannadadalli nimma jothe maathaaduve".


We caught the shimoga express on friday night. The journey began with the usual introductions , hi and knowing the nicknames and the reason behind such a nickname . Shruti was called vanar ..trust me her ticket was booked with the name "vanar" .I think the nickname suited her as she jumping around and was super enthu.Santosh was nicknamed kitta because he told a "matter" joke when these people were in school and the main character was named kitta in that .Poor chap ..he must be still regretting for trying to "enlighten" his friends about "life" .:-)

We reached birur at 3 in the morning .Most of us hadnt slept during the journey but were still not sleepy.Some these guys also had running race to warm up . Then we had breakfast and caught a bus to Lingadhahalli .

Then from there we caught another bus to
Kalhattigiri.We started trekking from this place.
We got help from two locals who could accompany us to the camping spot.


Me and Sujay .....Sujay is a funny guy and gave me company most of the times.Anirudh and Sujay are tamil movie freaks :-)

We walked through the coffee estates initially.And then we walked throught close to water streams .It was so beautiful and I think you guys should go there . once .




The temple near the falls and the snaps of water streams ...all snaps are of wall paper kind.

Then we started trekking through dirty roads and reached the top of the hill.We camped there in the night..

It is raining

Looks like rain has been following me. It was raining yesterday in Chennai and this morning when I reached Bangalore , it was raining.It is so damn beautiful out here and what I saw this morning made it even more beautiful .

I was standing at ATM and cursing the long queue .It was drizzling and the road was filled with smal streams of water flowing.People were avoiding the water streaming by jumping across and some lifted there pants/skirts to avoid getting wet(everyone does that ..don't we ? ). It was then she walked by.She was really good looking ( read it as hot ) .She was wearing a short denim skirt.And she too avoided the water streams.Na...dudes ..shes didnt jump to avoid.She did something better and trust me , it was really a beautiful sight (na..dont take it in vulgar sense ) .I dont know if she did it due to habit or if she forgot that she was wearing a short skirt , she lifted her skirt a bit while crossing the water streams .It reminded me of the tamil movie "Boys" .Such a beautiful sight :-).It was one of those moments when time freezes and everything comes to a still.

Then my cell phone beeped alerting me of an incoming message.I cursed it and then I looked around.I saw that every guy within 100 metres radius had his eyes trained on her !!! .Not sure how many have lost their sleep today because of her ;-) .

"Success,success,success" - this is what Shivaji Ganeshan uttered in his first movie (if I am not mistaken ) . This is exactly how I feel about the first "Dalda Dappas" meet n meeting the other bloggers.I will put a kutti post about the bloggers I met :-) .(I will post the photos later ) .

Ram : I know this idiot since my college days . So am not posting a biased view about him.

Virdi : I have read the hilarious comments he leaves in Sayeesha's blog .Of course , ppl are fans of his comments and it was cool meeting him . Hes got super cool sense of humour and easy-go attitude. And when he told me the reason why he has started blogging , I was floored. He has done a great job ..Okie..okie ..this is the first time I am mentioning about him in my blog .So I have written nice things about him ..just hoping that he returns the compliments :-d.

Vatsan : I had talked to him over the phone and I had teased him badly. Any person with manam ..sudu..soranai .. could have hanged himself with a shoe lace by now .But he didn't do and he turned up for the dalda dappas meeting :-) .After seeing this huge 6'1'' chap , I kept my mouth shut (I didn't want to get beaten up ;-) ). He is a bike freak and loves to collect bike .

Priya : The thalai of the Dalda dappas. I am not saying anything about her because I dont want to go against our underworld company.I will just put a few points and you guys tell me which of these is NOT true .
#1) She will definitely get an arrear in her first semester exam . (who the hell wants a MBA graduate as a leader for rowdy gang ? ) .
#2)She is a super duper tubelight . (yeah..she does make our life very BRIGHT ) .
#3) She carries a blue bag which she snatched from a temple priest .And this is the greatest crime she has committed .and gez what ..she thinks that the blue bag is sexy ;-) .
#4)All the above statements are false .

Jeevan : Myself and vatsan went to Jeevan's house and met him .I had planned to meet him earlier but couldn't do so . I am really glad that I made it this time. I hadn't spoken to Jeevan earlier but when I met him I thought he spoke like one of those kutti sweet kids. He is really a kid by heart.Jeevan ..you know its really nice to be innocent and sweet.I am sure many people will come and meet you . And of course..next time I will meet your parents too .

Vee-Jay : If you are from IT field and if you worked in any of the Indian firms , then I am pretty sure you had share my feelings about the project leads and managers ..I simply hate those species :-d . I had to change my opinion when I met Vee-jay .One of the dignified women I have met . ..BLAH...BLAH... seri ..Vee-jay you owe me a treat now :-d . Aunty ..aunty ...ennaku antha chocolate vennum.

Jayanthi : The late joiner ...Poor thing ..she came from the office to meet us . It was really nice that she made it ...assuming all the trouble my college juniors must be making in her office . I haven't read her blogs before until now.Looks like one more addition to my blogroll .

Samy : Well.. We are/were related to same IT firm .And guess it helped us to get along well pretty well..Yeah..we cribbed about the company . He has got nice sense of humour and had the courage to tease vatsan in his presence . Samy has got my respect for that single fact.And yes ..Haven't read his blogs before and hence another addition to blogroll .

I have met a quite a lot of bloggers this week. And am looking forward to meet more. Somehow ..after meeting them ..I feel like I have known them for long . Its more meaningful to leave a comment in these people's blog now ..since I dont have to worry how they had take my comments .

Meeting people

In the short time I have blogged , I have got to know lots of people. People have mailed me and I have mailed some . There are some who didn't reply to my mails . There are others who mailed back and I have started chatting on yahoo (exclusively during office hours ;-) ) with them . I have even talked to few over the phone . Some are already my friends and some , I guess , will be be my friends soon . But this is the first time when I met someone from the blogworld .

I met filtered sambhar at a local coffee joint . We talked over a cup of filtered kaapi ;-) . he told me stories about his cricket life ...yeah ..yeah .. guys he is a state level cricket player !!!. Neways , I ,on behalf of DALDA DAPPAS , am planing to challenge him for a street cricket match . Supporters are welcome ;-) . He had lots of nice funny stories about cricket and I hope he writes post on that someday :-) . You know it was like meeting someone I had known for long . I realise that it is so much more fun to get know a fellow blogger than just leaving a comment in his/her blog .

Now , I am planning to meet the fellow DALDA DAPPAS this weekend . I invite all the bloggers to join us on that day . I am also planning to meet jeevan , vatsan , vinesh , virdi and all the others who are willing to meet the DALDA DAPPAS .

I request all the readers to leave the name of the city(even if you live abroad) where they are currently living. Who knows I might meet you when I am porrikkifying in your city or I may just come to your city to meet you . I know that I can get these info from your profiles , but I still request you to put it in the comment section.

2nd October

Have you come across a person who shares your birthday , who is as irritating as you are and whose thoughts are similiar to that of yours ? Not only did I meet such a person , I made friends with HIM also.So much so , that my definition of a "friend" is HIM .

HE could walk into a room and make his presence felt . And when HE starts speaking you could be floored , for HIS choice of words were perfect ...HE couldn't waste any words and yet precisely convey what HE wanted to say . You had start respecting him more when you realise that HE couldn't speak fluent english till second year of college.HE could learn 25 words from dicitonary everyday to improve HIS vocabolary .

HE came from a lower middle class family . HE took tutions for the kids to get some money .We could take HIM to our local nair tea kadi and make HIM buy us tea. HE never complained and HE could walk 6 Km back to home.This is one of the reasons why I still visit the nair tea kadai whenever possible .HIS needs were simple , yet HE struggled to get them.I learnt to enjoy the simple things in life after seeing the trouble HE had to undergo to get them.

HIS ambitions were high .HE wanted to work under the IIT professor Padma Shri Dr.Ashok Jhun Jhunwala .He got the offer and I guess that was the most happiest day of HIS life .When HE told my parents about this they were really happy for HIM .My parents looked at HIM as their own son.HE could walk into my house any time and could take whatever HE wanted .

On 2nd October, 2001 , around 8 AM , I got a call from HIM. HE told me that HE wanted to take HIS girlfriend to a temple and then celebrate (HE had joined Dr.JhunJhunwala the previous day) . At 11 AM , I got a call informing me that HE had passed away in a road accident .
I don't mourn on this day ...I simply hate this day (My hatred has got nothing to do with Gandhi Jayanthi ) .

HE has influenced my life in many ways and HE taught me to focus on my goals. Whatever I am today , I owe a lot to HIM.There were so many things in common between us that at times , I feel I am living HIS life .I only wish I had expressed how much I cared for HIM .
